Happy New Year!…Wait! What?

2018 vogue Look book

Its hard to believe we are already in the second week of 2017. I’m not even done with 2016 yet!

I’ve still not fully settled into the new year, yet to recover from my holiday which I really wanted to blog about but I guess it’s already too late for that. Plus I didn’t take enough pictures… (Ok I’m making too many excuses already. LOOL)

I tried not to stress too much about the blog and social media during the holiday because I was so much in the moment (It was a well balanced mix of relaxing and celebrating).

Christmas was amazing, New Year was amazing, Mums birthday was amazing, bae’s birthday was amazing 😀

Every time I opened Instagram I’d just say to myself “where do people get all this time to post pictures??” Because for me… It was work! I guess it made me realize, now more than ever, that i’m not really into social media as much as I thought I was, coupled with the fact that my phone battery wouldn’t even last up to a minute! (thumbs up Samsung!)
Sometimes, trying to capture every special moment takes away the “special” from the “moment” – if that makes any sense.

PS: I’d love a phone recommendation, let me know of any really good phone in the comment section, doesn’t have to be the latest- and not Samsung or Iphone).

Anyways, This was by far my best Christmas break 😀

Enough said, How did you spend your holiday? please share below… I’d very much love to read what you were up to. and if you really think I should share details of mine let me know below.

NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS?

Errrr…No

I definitely have things I’d love to work on but one thing I noticed was that the holiday had a massive impact on my life goals and priorities! This time last year I had a different mindset on success but now my definition of it is slightly different.

GOALS?

Yes…definitely

I’m really happy that I achieved every goal I set for myself last year and I’m even more motivated to set higher goals this year – obviously in line with my new priorities. Haha!

What are your opinions on New Year resolutions and goals?
Please share your opinions below.

Till my next post…Stay blessed

Nice write up, simple but with a bit of finesse in it, btw what is the difference between your mindset on success now as compared to what it was last year ?

Well with new year resolutions, determination and self-consciousness are awakened for a while if one is not used to it and then months into the year, everything dies down. Personally, I think not just when it’s new year, one with a life goal should constantly check himself/herself as to what areas need to be worked on to reach the desired goal. So with that been said, I would say it shouldn’t be a new year resolution but a life resolution and periodically check ourselves so as to stay just right in line.

Had an activity filled, well rested, family spent holiday. New year leaped for me and I got all excited, then… (I guess I jinxed it ?), but I’m still very positive and still very committed to being committed at everything I set and will adjust to do (God helping me).

Welcome back! All the best with your goals.
