My experience at the Project Empower 3600 Launch

June 26, 2016

I was lucky to spend my Saturday at the Project Empower 3600 conference which held in Shareton Hotel, Abuja. The idea behind the project is to empower 3600 young Nigerians with Social Media Skills to become self reliant and contribute towards alleviating poverty and unemployment in Nigeria. They plan to empower 100 youths per state in 36 months.

I was invited by a friend at the last minute, and because I didn’t have major plans, I decided to attend. I missed the first session, sadly, but the second session (After the break) was intense and enlightening. I learnt so much (and got better understanding of things I already know).

We were taught how to manage our online reputation, develop a social media strategy, Information Marketing strategies, there was also a practical guide to setting up a blog and also everything you need to know about starting your own importation business.

It was quite interesting because the anchors were youths who are now successful entrepreneurs as a result of their social media skills. After the show I got to briefly comment about the event. Watch below.

The tour continues- visit www.empower3600.com and register to attend the next session.
