Beautified DIVA Series

Hi everyone. I spent my Saturday at the Beautified DIVA event themed Step up, Step out and Stretch
The beautified DIVA series is an intimate session where young women come together to worship, pray, network and listen to speakers talk about their experiences with God and Christianity… you can learn more about it on www.beautified.com.ng

There were three speakers for the day, the founder, Funto Ibuoye and two other guest speakers, Theodora Ayeni and Eziaha Bolaji.

It was an inspiring event & I’m so glad I was present because I left there elevated and more connected with God.

Theodora Ayeni

Theodora Ayeni

Theodora Ayeni spoke about “Staying in The place of God”, I understood better how important it is for us Christians to ALWAYS be conscious about the presence of God. That way we can hear from Him for ourselves and not completely rely on others or people we think are “more spiritual” to tell us what God wants for us. It doesn’t mean we shouldn’t look up to our spiritual leaders, It just means that we should develop a personal relationship with God by making it a habit to study his word, meditate and pray.

Eziaha Bolaji-Olojo

Eziaha Bolaji-Olojo

Eziaha Bolaji- Olojo talked about The “S” Chic, meaning the strong chic. She used Proverbs 31 vs 17 as a point of reference.

“She equips herself with strength [spiritual, mental, and physical fitness for her God-given task]
And makes her arms strong.” (Amplified Bible)

Eziaha talked about how important it is for us to be well rounded and productive. And to keep taking up challenges that make us grow. She says staying in our comfort zone kills us (she called it the amoeba effect- A laboratory experiment where an amoeba was kept in perfect condition and still died because it didn’t experience any “stress”)

Funto Ibuoye

Funto Ibuoye

Funto Ibuoye’s topic was titled “Unnamed”. She talked about the woman with the issue of blood and how she had faith and courage to receive her healing.

She ended her talk by a quote from Marianne Williamson.

“What is a princess, and what is a queen? Why is the princess often a pejorative description of a certain type of woman, and the word queen hardly ever applied to women at all? A princess is a girl who knows that she will get there, who is on her way perhaps but is not yet there. She has power but she does not yet wield it responsibly. She is indulgent and frivolous. She cries but not yet noble tears. She stomps her feet and does not know how to contain her pain or use it creatively.

A queen is wise. She has earned her serenity, not having had it bestowed on her but having passed her tests. She has suffered and grown more beautiful because of it. She has proved she can hold her kingdom together. She has become its vision. She cares deeply about something bigger than herself. She rules with authentic power.”

There is this joy I have when I see young, pretty ladies having the urge to serve God.
When your marriage is intact, you are super fit and beautiful within and outside, and your service to God is yielding so much fruits; you are COMPLETE. Glad I was there

Lovely words of encouragement from these ladies and thanks for pointing them out.
I relate with Theodora Ayeni most, i’ve come to understand that once this aspect is on check, every other begins to fall in place because God is the Ultimate source and once connected – Ce finis!

Thank you for the post btw.
